Associate - Valuation & Portfolio Monitoring

A leading global private markets investment firm managing a substantial AUM across multiple institutional strategies. About the Role The Associate will support the Senior Vice President and wider Portfolio Monitoring team across valuation collation, portfolio oversight, and operational aspects of the firm's US daily-priced registered funds. Key Responsibilities Compile portfolio and investment-level valuation inputs from Deal Teams, Portfolio Management, and third-party data sources ahead of each daily and periodic valuation cycle Prepare and review the daily valuation pack for the US registered funds, reconciling inputs to source data and preparing outputs for sign-off by the central valuation team Support application of the firm's valuation policy and methodology (ASC 820 / Rule 2a-5) across the fund complex, flagging stale marks, anomalies, or methodology exceptions Maintain valuation support files, audit trails, and documentation for portfolio positions Support the Valuation Committee process Monitor portfolio-level pricing, corporate actions, and capital activity feeding into daily NAV Maintain and improve process documentation, controls, and checklists for a multi-time-zone daily valuation cycle Act as a day-to-day point of contact for the valuation agent and third-party pricing and data vendors Support oversight of valuation agent deliverables and reporting timetables Build strong working relationships with Data & Analytics, Technology, and Change teams to support the daily NAV platform Assist with coordination of Board and regulatory reporting deliverables including audited financial statements and Rule 38a-1 / Rule 2a-5 requirements Communicate proactively with stakeholders across Front Office, Product, Investor Services, Compliance, and the central valuation team Qualifications ~2-5 years of relevant valuation and/or portfolio monitoring experience Ideally valuation exposure within a private equity or asset management environment Exposure to US registered '40 Act investment products or other regulated fund structures investing in private markets (evergreen, tender offer, or interval funds ideal) Working knowledge of investment valuation processes and portfolio monitoring cycles Sound understanding of US GAAP (ASC 820 / ASC 946) Competitive base salary plus discretionary annual bonus 401(k) with employer match Generous PTO Paid company holidays Paid parental leave Comprehensive medical/dental/vision and wellness/mental health resources. #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
