Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Cheraw, South Carolina Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Cheraw, South Carolina. Job ID: 1910265 Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome. Additional certifications or licenses as required. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Ability to comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and possess proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities – Must remain stationary, move, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with diverse personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move when assisting with procedures and equipment. Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, and maintain concentration during irregular activity schedules.
