Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting them as a Personal Care Aide in a dynamic K-12 setting. Positions are available on a contract basis for dedicated and compassionate individuals who enjoy working alongside teachers and special education professionals. These opportunities offer a consistent 35-hour workweek onsite in a variety of school environments, ranging from elementary to high school, based on district needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Aide in an educational or related setting
- Active or in-process Pennsylvania credentialing (Act 151, 114, 126, 168, PATCH/Act 134 clearances)
- Recent physical (within 60 days prior to start)
- Negative TB screening (2 Step TB test or Quantiferon TB Blood Test)
- Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Preference given to fully credentialed candidates
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with varying needs, including academic, behavioral, and personal assistance
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrative staff to implement individualized education plans
- Assist with daily classroom activities, supervision, and transitions
- Accurately document student progress and report observations as needed
