Make a meaningful impact in local schools by supporting students as a Personal Care Aide in a collaborative educational environment. Multiple contract opportunities are available, with assignments at various elementary, intermediate, and high schools. Your placement will be determined based on the district’s needs, offering flexibility and valuable hands-on experience.
What You Bring:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or personal care aide, ideally in a school setting
- Dedication to working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs, autism, and emotional challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preference given to candidates who are fully credentialed in Pennsylvania
- Capability to adapt daily to the classroom environment and school assignment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students throughout the school day, assisting with academic, personal, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement student-specific care plans
- Foster a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere to help every child succeed
- Assist with classroom management and facilitate inclusive learning experiences for all students
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation as required by the school district
- Ensure safety and well-being of students at all times during school hours
Position Details:
- Full-time, onsite, contract role through June 2027 (35 hours per week)
- Assignments are made to the school site with the greatest current need; preferences will be considered but not guaranteed
- Comprehensive onboarding and support throughout placement
To be considered, candidates must provide a complete resume, references, and all Pennsylvania credentialing documents—including Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126 Certification, TB testing, Act 168 paperwork, PATCH/Act 134, physical examination within 60 days, and drug screening information.
