Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the Washington DC area. You will work closely with clients, contractors and other professionals to ensure that these structures are preserved according to historical standards and regulations. This is a contract position with a starting salary of $1100. We welcome applicants of all nationalities who are fluent in English and have a valid visa allowing them to work in the USA. Key Responsibilities Conducting thorough research on historical buildings and structures. Creating preservation plans and proposals based on research findings. Collaborating with clients, contractors and other professionals to ensure preservation goals are met. Overseeing the restoration process to ensure adherence to historical standards. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise. Providing guidance on preservation techniques and materials. Maintaining accurate records of all preservation projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field. Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or architectural conservation. Strong knowledge of preservation principles, techniques and materials. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
