Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and needs, focusing on enhancing their mobility and overall functionality.
• Supervise and direct Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of care, ensuring compliance with the established plan of treatment.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments utilizing diagnostic tools to evaluate muscle strength, joint integrity, and functional mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation protocols and self-management strategies to facilitate recovery and independence.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to collaborate with healthcare team members, sharing insights to develop holistic care plans.
• Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions, adjusting therapies as necessary and communicating with the interdisciplinary team and physicians.
• Ensure proper fitting and adjustment of prosthetic and orthotic devices, advising on modifications to enhance functionality.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices and contribute ideas for enhancing our service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active and valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and adequate automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective patient and family education and engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment while demonstrating leadership when supervising support staff.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
