Human Resources Director In Training

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the ability and ambition to become an HR Director to gain the experience needed for advancement to an HR Director role.

This position is responsible for developing, monitoring and coordinating the company's human resource policies and programs - major areas covered are organizational development, employee relations, employment, wage and salary administration, staff recruitment (interviewing/screening/hiring), workers' compensation, disciplinary procedures and actions, employee services/benefits, and other elements of human resource administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, or other related area plus four years of management experience as a human resource generalist (or similar position) at an equivalent sized company or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience totaling 8 years which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Knowledge Knowledge and experience with human resource information systems (HRIS) systems; knowledge of applicable employment law and human resources industry standards/best practices

Needed: General knowledge of and experience in administering human resource responsibilities, including policy/procedure writing and implementation, employment law and practices, compensation law and practice; FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, EEOC; ADA and other elements of administering the human resource functions. Well developed analytical and administrative skills, demonstrated proficiency working with a participative management style (team concept) and strong oral and written communication skills.

Other 1) Maintain a current and valid driver's license of the state of residence and be determined as an "insurable driver" by the automobile insurance carrier for CLASS unless other arrangements can be made in advance.

2) Comply with all federal, state and local laws regarding communicable and infectious diseases and CLASS policies rules and practices regarding medical examination or immunizations.

3) No records of convictions, administrative findings or history of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children or adults unable to protect their own interest, and conviction of other crimes, including, but not limited to crimes against persons, sex crimes, crimes against property, violation of personal rights, public safety, public morals, or any crimes that would be classified in Kansas as a felony or deemed unacceptable for employment with CLASS.

4) Works and honors commitments to participate as an effective member on team(s) i.e. specialty teams, Leadership Team etc., to which assigned.

5) Accomplishes the Performance Goals and Objectives agreed upon at the previous Performance Evaluation.

6) Ability to communicate effectively with others.

7) Read, comprehend and interpret written materials such as laws, statutes, letters, policies and procedures

8) Compose written material as required for the level of position.

9) Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
