Step into a vital support role in an engaging K-2 instructional classroom. This contract opportunity is tailored for an experienced paraprofessional eager to make a meaningful difference. Working alongside dedicated educators, you’ll help foster student growth, particularly for those who benefit from additional guidance.
Expect your days to be dynamic as you assist in a classroom currently presenting more challenging behaviors. Your expertise and calm, consistent presence will play a key part in helping students succeed academically and socially. With hours running from 7:30am to 2:45pm, you'll find enough time to contribute your skills—and still enjoy your afternoons.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
- Proven strength working with children displaying challenging behaviors
- Familiarity with K-2 instructional practices
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the classroom teacher during instructional activities
- Assist students in small groups or one-on-one as needed
- Help implement individualized behavior improvement plans
- Supervise and encourage positive social interactions
- Support a structured, safe, and engaging learning atmosphere
- Adapt to classroom needs with flexibility and enthusiasm
