Estate Planning Attorney | Richardson, TX | Hybrid/Remote | Full-Time We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive estate plans, ensuring clients' assets are protected and their wishes are honored. Your expertise will guide clients through complex legal processes related to estate and trust law, providing clarity and confidence in their planning. Responsibilities Draft, review, and execute estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. Provide expert legal counsel on estate, trust, and probate law to clients from diverse backgrounds. Conduct detailed legal research across various jurisdictions using tools like LexisNexis or Westlaw to ensure compliance with current laws. Negotiate terms with clients and third parties to facilitate smooth estate transfers and asset management. Prepare for and participate in court depositions, probate proceedings, Guardianship and trial preparations as needed. Manage legal case files efficiently using case management systems; maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions and legal strategies. Collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation matters involving personal injury cases or employment disputes requiring procedural law knowledge. Develop strong client relationships through clear communication and tailored legal advice that aligns with their long-term goals. Will be required to handle some Family Law cases on some occasions Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Minimum 5 years of legal practice. Proven experience in estate planning with a comprehensive understanding of trust and estate laws. Familiarity with a family law (Must have completed at least one full family law hearing) Strong research skills for statutory and procedural legal research. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients in various legal settings. Proficiency in legal drafting, motion preparation, trial preparation, and court depositions. Exceptional writing skills for preparing clear legal documents and correspondence. Experience managing multiple cases efficiently within a fast-paced environment; familiarity with legal case management software is preferred. Outstanding client communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically.
