District Sales Manager, Texas

We're partnering with a manufacturer that's investing in the continued growth of its metal building division. They're looking for a District Sales Manager who enjoys opening doors, building long-term relationships, and becoming a trusted resource for customers throughout the commercial construction industry.

You'll own your territory, work directly with builders, contractors, and developers, and help customers find the right solutions for projects ranging from pre-engineered metal buildings and self-storage facilities to specialty building systems. If you enjoy spending your time in the field, developing business instead of sitting behind a desk, and seeing the direct impact of your work, this role offers the autonomy and earning potential to do exactly that.

What You'll Be Doing

Success in this role comes from being present in your market. You'll spend your time meeting customers, walking job sites, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening relationships that lead to repeat business.

You'll be responsible for growing an established territory through a combination of new customer acquisition, expanding existing accounts, and re-engaging customers who haven't done business recently. Along the way, you'll serve as a trusted advisor helping customers understand products, navigate specifications, and position projects for success.

Just as importantly, you'll keep a pulse on your market by monitoring competitors, identifying trends, and providing insights that help shape pricing and sales strategy.

You understand complex construction sales cycles, stay organized throughout lengthy projects, and know how to keep opportunities moving from first conversation to completed sale. You're comfortable working independently, managing a CRM pipeline, and spending significant time traveling throughout your territory to stay connected with customers.

Preferred Background

We're looking for someone who brings:

• 10+ years of outside sales or business development experience
• A proven track record of winning new business while growing existing customer relationships
• Experience managing long sales cycles and CRM pipelines
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to travel approximately 65-75% throughout an assigned territory

Experience with PEMB systems, estimating software such as MBS or ACT, or selling into the commercial construction market is considered a strong advantage.
