HR Manager

Job Description Job Title: HR Manager (Employee Relations Focus) Location: Annandale, VA (with travel to other campus locations as needed) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong focus on employee relations to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace. You will manage HR policies, oversee performance management, support recruitment, and drive employee engagement and retention initiatives. This position reports to the Chief People Officer. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the go-to expert for employee relations, handling conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management. Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Oversee the performance review process and provide guidance on effective performance management practices. Support recruitment efforts and manage the onboarding process for new hires. Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention. Coordinate training programs and provide coaching to support employee development. Will travel between all PHILLIPS campuses as needed to address employee relations matters, provide support, and ensure a consistent approach to HR practices across all locations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR), preferred. Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
