Localization Specialist for Romania

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Localization Specialist for Romania , you'll be part of our Localization Center of Excellence , playing a key role in ensuring that our global marketing communications feel truly local. Your work will go beyond translation, you'll help adapt content to the cultural nuances of the Romanian market, making sure every campaign, message, and customer touchpoint resonates with local audiences. By combining linguistic expertise with cultural insight, you'll contribute directly to creating a seamless user experience and supporting Wellhub's continued growth.

In this role, you'll become the go-to expert for language, culture, and market-specific knowledge, partnering closely with local and global teams to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant content. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, support product marketing initiatives with valuable cross-cultural insights, and help shape and continuously improve Wellhub's localization processes. YOUR IMPACT

• Demonstrate clear understanding of Wellhub’s different target audiences (client, partners, end users)
• Review and evaluate translations from English into your native language ( ro-RO ) to ensure they meet the brief (format, tone of voice, language and style) and that the brand and the message is relevant in the local market. Execute short-form translations from English into your native language for time-sensitive requests.
• Manage localization and adaptation requests from Wellhub stakeholders with our team of approved translation agencies, following the approved processes and making sure projects are delivered by the agreed target date with the highest quality standards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to gain clear understanding of the brief, deliverables and timeline for each project, to ensure smooth adaptation process and successful delivery of market-specific materials.
• Develop strong and effective relationships with 3rd party translation vendors, lead linguists and other local market stakeholders
• Conduct ongoing analysis and monitoring of QA metrics and provide constructive feedback when appropriate
• Analyze assets and creative concepts from a localization and cross-cultural point of view and provide feedback to marketers, product owners or other stakeholders, highlighting any potential issues
• Contribute to the successful implementation and improvement of localization processes
• Stay up to date with the latest localization technology. Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., generative AI, machine translation, or localization technologies) to support content localization and workflow optimization is highly desirable.

WHO YOU ARE

• Native speaker of ro-RO , fluent/Proficient English essential, and other languages desirable (esp. fr-FR, nl-NL )
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in your native language as well as in English (Wellhub’s official language)
• Ability to use your language flexibly and effectively at a professional level in product, marketing, and support materials
• Fully immersed (both linguistic and culturally) in the Romanian market reality
• Experience working in the translation industry, ideally, experience in translating marketing related content
• Proven knowledge of translation workflows, CAT tools and QA reviews
• Experience in Translation Project Management and/or creative/production agency desirable
• Passion for languages and different cultures

• Ability to manage time productively and work under deadlines whilst still delivering quality work
