INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises all warehouse and inventory control activities. Provides guidance, expertise and supervision to Warehouse Associates and ensures adequate level of material and/or product inventories are maintained.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary. Supervise Warehouse Associates providing guidance and expertise. Responsible for all assigned warehouse operations. Initiate and monitor all safety policies. Review completed accident reports. Evaluate performance of Associates. Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are clean and orderly at all times. Conducts performance reviews. May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to Warehouse Director. Ensure adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs. Responsible for counting inventory as assigned, identifying and resolving any shrink issues. Responsible for making sure that the warehouse inventory is properly rotated and codes are monitored to ensure no out-of-date issue. Responsible for placing orders for purchased products and communicating with Pennsauken for produced products. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION

Required Preferred Bachelors Degree in related field and 5 years Warehouse experience and 4 years Inventory Control experience; OR 7 years Warehouse experience and 6 years of Inventory Control experience. Ability to drive a forklift Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Preferred Related training or certification. Experience with confidential files, documents and other information Experience working in a team environment. Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience. Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator. MS Office including Word and Excel.
