Remote Head of AI - Sei Foundation

The Sei Foundation is seeking an innovative and strategic Head of Artificial Intelligence to spearhead the growth and integration of AI-focused applications within the Sei blockchain ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in advancing use cases such as machine learning, generative AI, predictive analytics, and decentralized AI systems. As the Head of AI, you will lead partnerships and business development efforts, collaborating with top AI research labs, technology companies, and industry pioneers to unlock new opportunities for scalable, secure, and decentralized artificial intelligence solutions on Sei.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand Sei’s AI vertical by driving ecosystem growth in areas like machine learning, generative AI, predicative analysis, AI infrastructure etc. —creating use cases that leverage Sei’s high-performance blockchain infrastructure.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with leading AI research labs, technology firms, academic institutions, and industry pioneers to expand Sei’s presence and influence in AI-driven applications.
• Identify and attract institutional partners, including prominent AI organizations and innovative web2 companies, to drive adoption of AI solutions powered by Sei’s blockchain.
• Lead business development initiatives to secure cutting-edge projects that utilize Sei for decentralized machine learning, AI-driven data privacy, and secure AI infrastructure.
• Work cross-functionally with Sei’s technical teams to identify and support the unique blockchain requirements of AI applications, ensuring Sei’s infrastructure is optimized for the AI ecosystem.
• Collaborate with other vertical heads and the broader business development team to align strategies and capitalize on synergies across Sei’s diverse application ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Prior VC experience, particularly in AI or machine learning investments, OR proven experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy roles within the artificial intelligence industry; experience with web3 or blockchain technology is a strong plus.
• A comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in artificial intelligence, including decentralized machine learning, data privacy, ownership, and the ethical deployment of AI technologies.
• Proven expertise in building and managing high-value partnerships with AI research institutions, technology companies, and influential players in the AI and broader tech ecosystems.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive ecosystem growth and adoption of blockchain solutions for innovative AI applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork, and a passion for advancing cutting-edge AI innovation through decentralized technologies.
