Labor and Employment Associate | Los Angeles, CA | $225,000-$245,000A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate to join its Los Angeles office.This opportunity offers hands-on experience representing employers in a broad range of workplace disputes and advisory matters. The role provides significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced employment attorneys on sophisticated matters.ResponsibilitiesHandle employment litigation matters from inception through resolutionDefend employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and reasonable accommodation issuesAssist with representative and class action mattersDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responsesConduct legal research and prepare case strategy memorandaTake and defend depositions, including plaintiffs and corporate representativesParticipate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearancesProvide employment law guidance and support to employer clientsWork collaboratively with senior attorneys while independently managing day-to-day case responsibilitiesRequirements3-5 years of labor and employment law experienceExperience handling employment litigation mattersExperience with wage and hour claimsExperience with representative action mattersExperience with class action litigationStrong deposition experienceStrong motion practice experienceExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsActive California Bar admissionEmployment counseling experience is preferredBenefitsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $225,000-245,000Bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k)Paid time off and firm holidaysProfessional development supportLong-term partnership-track potential
