Administrative Assistant - Education Program

Compass Homeschool Program

Job Description

Seeking an energetic, part time Program Assistant to join our team in mid August! You will perform a wide variety of tasks to support the activities of a growing, dynamic K-12 learning center located in Herndon/Reston, convenient to Fairfax County Parkway, Dulles Toll Road, and new Herndon Metro stop.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist families with check-in
Answer questions
Support classroom instructors
Assist with set-up and clean-up for scheduled classes, clubs, events, special events
Prepare email and text communications
Assist with administrative tasks related to attendance and enrollment

Qualifications:

Outgoing personality, customer-service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Take initiative and be proactive in anticipating tasks that need to be done
Experience working with school-aged students ages

Hours/Duration:

4 days per week from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
35 weeks per year (mid-August to mid-June), with options for reduced, flexible hours in the summer

Company Description

The concept for Compass grew from the desire to provide creative, innovative, and interactive classes for homeschooled students with the consistency and quality provided by paid, professional instructors. Compass offers more than 200 classes each week for more than 600 students from more than 400 families.
