Requirements
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina)
- BLS required
- Medical telemetry experience required
- CMSRN encouraged
- Prior PCU/med-surg or telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to work night shift (18:45–07:15) and sign up for required weekend coverage (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Willingness to float to sister med-surge units (3W, 5W, K8) as needed
- Comfortable using Cerner EMR and bedside telemetry monitoring

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for progressive care/medical telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac telemetry and responding to changes in condition
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans in Cerner and utilize unit-specific monitoring systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, including preparation of patients for procedures (e.g., Endoscopy, IR, OR)
- Maintain unit staffing expectations and work within assigned nurse-to-patient ratios on night shift
- Follow unit policies, dress code, and any required sign-up processes for weekends and on-call coverage
- Support unit operations including use of equipment (remote telemetry, patient observation systems, workstation-on-wheels) and participate in unit float assignments
