Job Description\n Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Roanoke, Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Cath Lab TechScheduling Details\n \n Shift Hours: 4x10s, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM\n Contract Length: Up to 26 weeks available upon request\n On-Call Requirement: Expected to take 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts within a 6-week period. One full weekend of call (Friday through Sunday) to be scheduled together, with remaining weekday call shifts (Monday through Thursday) taken individually throughout the cycle. One Saturday shift for elective cases is required during each 6-week period. Clinicians must return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called.\n Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract, in rotation with staff.\n Charting\n \n Charting System: Epic required\n Required Certifications\n \n ACLS\n BLS\n ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS\n Clinical Skills\n \n Proficient in cardiac catheterization lab procedures including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacing, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Watchman, and Mitraclip.\n Strong understanding of sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols.\n Experience working in diagnostic and interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy.\n Knowledgeable in isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management.\n Unit Details\n \n Serves adult patients with a daily census of 15–20 in 6 procedure rooms.\n Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closures.\n Advanced procedures include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, and participation in research protocols.\n Equipped with advanced technology including IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS.\n Additional Information\n \n Must include all requests for time off, block scheduling, and special scheduling in submission.\n Facility policy allows the calling off of 1 shift per 2 weeks.\n First-time travelers will not be accepted.\n Local applicants will not be accepted, in accordance with radius restrictions.\n Pending licenses accepted; CCI RCIS is not required.
