Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

Job Description

A Lake County company is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join their team. You will work Monday through Friday fro 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable/receivable invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment issues, and facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting delinquent accounts when necessary
• Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Back-up for processing employee timecards and time management system, benefits and process payroll
• Work closely with outside accounting firm in preparing annual financial statements and processing payments

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Must have experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliation
• Knowledge of benefits administration processes is a plus
• Must have the ability to analyze financial concepts and perform accurate calculations
• Must be proficient in QuickBooks; ADP is a plus
• Strong knowledge of debits, credits and general accounting principles and regulations is needed
• Knowledge of benefits administration processes is a plus
• Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must be professional, organized, motivated, able to prioritize, with excellent communication skills
