Budget Analyst
US Department of War
Duties
Perform a variety of budgetary and administrative functions to support funding execution.
Research un-liquidated obligations and de-obligates unused funds to increase funding available.
Corrects omissions and discrepancies on source documents.
Monitor quarterly expenditure rates, and keeping costs within funding limitations.
Review the use of funds throughout the fiscal year using a computer with spreadsheet and database software applications programs.
Recommend budget adjustments and resolve budget problems with departments serviced.
Applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, rules, procedures, and/or regulations accurately.
Provide management with financial information, such as financial reports showing the status of receipts, obligations, and expenditures of funds.
