Veterinary Technician

Relief Veterinary Technician VCA Coast Animal Hospital is looking for a Relief, experienced Veterinary Technician. RVT certification is required. Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as Surgical, Dental, and Anesthesia experience. The ideal candidate will also possess great client communication skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work as part of a strong team. Compensation $27–$30 per hour depending on credentials and experience. Responsibilities Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Qualifications Must have documented previous animal hospital experience Hold a current RVT license Must have surgery and dentistry experience Flexibility in hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Customer service skills, including phone skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skills Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments Benefits We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts, and more.
