Psychiatrist OpportunityMaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) board-certified psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland (MHMMCP). This role offers a unique hybrid opportunity, combining leadership and clinical practice.The selected candidate will serve as the General Psychiatry Residency Program Director (0.5 FTE) while also providing psychiatric clinical care (0.5 FTE). This position supports a diverse patient population across both rural and urban communities.This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in academic leadership, with potential for future involvement in additional academic and/or administrative roles.MHMMC has an academic affiliation with Tufts University School of Medicine and offers the best aspects of patient care and academic stimulation. Residents are involved in teaching medical students from Tufts and from the nearby University of New England. Residents are also actively involved in department governance and decision-making, participating in department retreats and quality improvement projects, and having formal representation on departmental committees.Minimum qualifications:Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
