Overview of the Accounting Specialist Role :
- Record and maintain all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and general ledger entries using QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts and correct discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership review.
- Process payroll, calculate wages, and verify deductions for accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and vendor communications.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with budgeting, audits, and tax preparation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, GAAP, and general accounting practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a team-oriented approach.
