Vice President of Engineering

Role Overview We’re entering a critical growth phase and are looking for a hands‑on VP of Engineering to help professionalize, scale, and evolve our engineering organization. This is a highly technical leadership role for someone who still loves shipping code, solving hard problems, and setting strong engineering foundations. You’ll report directly to the CTO and play a central role in shaping both the technical direction and the engineering culture of the company. What You’ll Do Lead, scale, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management Write and ship production code regularly; this is a hands‑on leadership role Partner closely with Product to define and execute the technical roadmap Improve engineering processes, workflows, and best practices Own architectural decisions and ensure long‑term system scalability and quality Collaborate with executive leadership on technical vision and prioritization Manage engineering budgets, resourcing, and capacity planning Drive system reliability, performance, and security across the full stack Establish strong engineering metrics and report progress and team health to leadership Foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement What We’re Looking For 5+ years of professional software development experience 2+ years of engineering management experience Strong hands‑on experience with Python or TypeScript Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passion for software engineering, mentoring, and team development Nice to Have Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms Background in startup or high‑growth environments Open‑source contributions or meaningful side projects Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Generous PTO and paid public holidays Parental leave Fully remote work If you’re excited about building impactful AI products, leading by example, and shaping the future of an engineering organization, we’d love to talk. #J-18808-Ljbffr Reku
