Network & Systems Lead

Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• You must be adaptable in a fast-paced setting and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• A valid drivers license is required, along with the ability to carry out occasional fieldwork.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, including Catalyst, Small Business, and Nexus switches, plus Cisco ASR 1k and 9k routers, is required.
• Familiarity with Juniper Netscreen firewalls is required.
• Proficiency with Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD operating systems is required.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Zabbix and PRTG is required.
• Knowledge of Sandvine ActiveLogic is required.
• Experience with VoIP platforms such as 3CX, Asterisk, and FreePBX is required.
• Familiarity with Ubiquiti EdgeRouters, switches, and WiFi systems is required.
• We require FreeRadius experience of 3 years.
• We require Cisco routers experience of 5 years.
• We require Linux Administration experience of 5 years.
• We require Network monitoring experience of 5 years.
• We require ISC DHCP Server experience of 5 years.
• We require Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers experience of 5 years.
• We require Network Operations experience of 3 years.
• We require BGP Configuration experience of 5 years.
• A Class G drivers license is required.
• This role is not remote; we require you to work from our office in Mississauga.

• We operate and support core and distribution networks, along with related servers and equipment.
• We monitor tickets and infrastructure alerts after hours.
• We develop and apply strategies to strengthen network infrastructure, improving stability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• We prepare and maintain documentation for network operations, system builds, and technical procedures.
• We manage network projects and work to complete them on schedule and to a high standard.
• We lead system builds and upgrades, including new technologies and infrastructure enhancements.
• We oversee inventory for networking equipment and spare parts.
• We provide guidance and support to Field Services staff as needed.
• We mentor Technical Support Agents when required.
• We review, audit, and manage technical support and network operations tickets to ensure timely, appropriate action.
• We remain available by phone, email, and messaging platforms to support our team and management.
• We act as an escalation contact for network, installation, technical support, and deployment issues.
• We support employee development through training and knowledge building.
• We stay responsive to management and staff during and outside standard business hours.
• We carry out inspections to confirm that network installations and configurations meet quality expectations.
• We train technicians on new equipment and procedures as needed.
• We manage our time effectively and keep projects and tasks organized.
