Job Title Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel Contract) Location Hickory, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed CVICU unit serving adult and geriatric populations with a 2:1 patient ratio (occasional 1:1) Manage and monitor patients presenting with complex cardiovascular diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotid procedures Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, and CRRT Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR Participate in scheduled float rotation as required and work every other weekend or as needed to meet facility needs Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment Required Qualifications Active RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina Minimum of 1.5–2 years of CVICU experience (post-orientation) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficiency with Cerner EHR Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates Preferred Experience / Skills CCRN certification preferred Experience with Impella, IABP, and/or CRRT equipment Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage high-acuity cardiovascular patients Prior travel nursing experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting Why Join Us Join a well-established, full-service acute care hospital with specialized centers including a Heart Center, Brain Center, Cancer Center, and Level 3 NICU, offering a dynamic and clinically rich environment No on-call requirements, with a projected start date and structured orientation schedule providing stability and clear expectations from day one Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 775533.
