Retail Sales Manager – $80,000+ Annually

Lucas Furniture & Mattress – Kokomo, Indiana
Full-time | Base Salary + Performance Bonuses

Lucas Furniture & Mattress is looking for a competitive, hands-on Sales Manager who loves selling, coaching people and winning as a team.

This is not a back-office management position. You will be present on the showroom floor, coaching salespeople, assisting with customers, improving closing performance and helping the store achieve its monthly sales goals.

What You Can Earn:

This position offers a competitive base salary plus monthly and annual performance incentives, with total annual earning potential of $80,000 or more with no cap to earnings .

We believe strong performance should be rewarded. Compensation and bonus expectations will be explained clearly during the interview process.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and motivate the Kokomo sales team.
• Conduct focused daily sales meetings.
• Coach salespeople on greeting, discovery, presentation, follow-up and closing.
• Monitor closing rate, average ticket, Dollar Per Guest and individual performance.
• Work directly with customers and lead by example on the sales floor.
• Ensure appointments, be-backs and unsold customers receive consistent follow-up.
• Recruit, train and develop sales professionals.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized and customer-ready showroom.
• Work with ownership, delivery and warehouse teams to provide an excellent customer experience.

Who We're Looking For:

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have at least three years of successful retail or commissioned sales experience.
• Have leadership, management or sales-coaching experience.
• Know how to hold people accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
• Are comfortable working with measurable sales goals.
• Can build trust, overcome objections and close sales.
• Communicate clearly and handle customer concerns professionally.
• Are competitive, dependable and willing to lead from the front.
• Can work retail hours, including weekends and selected holidays.

Furniture or mattress experience is helpful, but we will also consider successful leaders from automotive, appliance, jewelry, wireless, home-improvement and other commissioned retail environments.
