Warehouse Operations Specialist

Position Overview The Warehouse Operations role is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized at all times. Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, and check incoming stock against purchase orders or invoices. Label and stockpile merchandise according to the company's standards. Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are correctly labeled and packaged. Organize and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands. Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading and shipping orders. Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Track and update inventory records using warehouse management software. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Utilize proper safety equipment and follow safe work practices. Work cooperatively with team members and other departments. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Working Conditions Fast-paced, interior climate-controlled warehouse environment.
