Deposit Operations Specialist

Purpose:The Deposit Operations Specialist I is primarily focused on the daily operational functions regarding the movement of money for the bank. This includes but is not limited to cross training and showing competency in payment rail processing, lending as a service, banking as a service, and other various deposit operations functions. The Specialist I works in conjunction with the specialist II and III as well as the department manager to fulfill various bank requests.Tasks:Processes payment rail files as applicable – NACHA files, Wires, RTP, Fed Now, RPPS, Visa, Mastercard etc.Assists internal departments and customers with payment rail transactions/inquiriesPerform tasks related to lending as a service (i.e. loan funding/servicing), banking as a service (i.e. debit/credit card programs), deposit operations (i.e. account balancing), and the Fed (ACH, Wire, Reporting/Monitoring).Journal entries into DDAs and general ledgersLearn and comply with critical banking regulationsMaintains a consistent, minimum quality scoreMeets KPIsEnsures work is accurate and thorough and that errors are minimizedVarious ad hoc tasks as the department grows and the bank evolvesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Problem solving skillsStrong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skillsGood spreadsheet skillsAbility to multitask and manage competing deadlinesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDouble checks work to ensure accuracyRequired Education / Experience / License:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentPreferred Education /Experience / License:Bachelor’s degree in finance or similarAccounting reconciliation experienceMinimum Essential Requirements:Sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time and look at a computer screen for several hours a day.Work at an assigned FinWise office location.Communicate with others in person, on the phone, virtual meeting and email.Maintain confidentiality.Lift 20 lbs.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Work overtime as assigned.Travel overnight as required.Work cooperatively with others.Driving during the workday.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Remote Work Hybrid: Training full time in office, then two days per week WFHBackground checks are required on all bank employees due to the accessibility of Personally Identifiable Private Information.AAP/EEO StatementFinWise is an equal opportunity employer and dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
