Accounts Payable Specialist
A fast-paced food manufacturing company in Vernon is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP workflow. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment, enjoys hands-on transactional work, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with potential to convert to permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way match).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit memos.
- Maintain organized AP files and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Communicate with internal departments and vendors regarding invoice or payment issues.
- Support month-end AP closing tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in manufacturing or food production is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
