Assistant Coach - Track and Field

Position Summary Assist the head coach with all aspects of the Men’s and Women Track & Field program including but not limited to practice competition activities, player skill development, recruiting, directing and implementing plans for daily practices and competitions, organizing and administering clinics etc. and overall administrative tasks within the operation of the program. Must demonstrate integrity, leadership, a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel and recruit academically qualified students. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience At least one year of coaching or competition experience in an intercollegiate environment, preferably at a Division I level. Knowledge of and familiarity of NCAA rules and regulations. Good organizational, interpersonal communications and computer skills necessary. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prefer at least 1 year in relevant independent or educational activities. Attention to detail Ability to manage a high volume, fast paced environment. Special Physical/Mental Requirements Must be able to move 25lbs or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. May be subject to working in extreme weather conditions. Travel required. Duties to be performed with or without accommodation. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
