AI Systems Operator About Velocity Work Velocity Work is a boutique consultancy that helps small law firm owners build more profitable, sustainable businesses through better data, clearer strategy, and stronger accountability. We are a small, AI-native team. AI agents do most of our building, automation, and operational work. Position Overview We're looking for a part-time AI Systems Operator to own the day-to-day health and progress of our AI stack. You are not a traditional developer. AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) write and maintain our code. Your job is to keep that system running, move projects forward on a regular cadence, and take technical and operational load off the founder's plate. Think of it as a technical project manager in an environment where AI agents do the coding. You'll check in during set windows each week, make sure everything is working, fix or eliminate what isn't, and push AI initiatives forward reliably. Our Stack Agent harnesses: Hermes (Nous Research), OpenClaw Models: Claude, OpenAI, and open-source models Coding agents: Claude Code, Codex Apps: Custom-built, mostly Next.js Hosting/infra: Railway, Vercel Source of truth: GitHub Team tools: ChatGPT desktop/mobile, Google Workspace, automation tools Who Thrives Here You get energy from making systems run smoothly and from shipping things. You measure success by outcomes, not activity. You're curious about where AI is heading and practical about what's worth adopting now. Terms This is an independent contractor role. You provide your own equipment, handle your own taxes and insurance, and follow our confidentiality requirements.
