Equivalent technical sales and industrial manufacturing experience may be considered. Job Duties Develop new business through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and relationship building. Manage and grow an assigned sales territory throughout North America. Travel to manufacturing facilities and customer sites to identify sales opportunities. Evaluate production equipment and manufacturing processes to recommend custom tooling solutions. Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and tooling teams to gather project specifications and requirements. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. Prepare and manage customer quotations while coordinating with internal engineering and manufacturing teams. Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships through responsive service and technical sales support. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase territory revenue. Maintain consistent customer follow‑up and manage sales activities independently. Experience Requirements 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience in industrial manufacturing, machine tooling, metalworking, capital equipment, or a related industry. Experience selling technical products, tooling, equipment, or manufacturing solutions. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand manufacturing processes and equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Experience working with automotive, aerospace, fastener, metal forming, or industrial manufacturing customers is strongly preferred. Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage long‑term customer relationships. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. Self‑motivated with the ability to manage a large geographic territory with minimal supervision. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 90% throughout North America by car and air. Must reside in Rhode Island, Michigan, or California with convenient access to a major airport. Physical Capabilities Ability to travel approximately 90% throughout North America by car and air. Ability to drive for extended periods and navigate manufacturing and customer facilities. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during facility tours, customer visits, and industry events. Ability to safely work in industrial and manufacturing environments while following site‑specific safety and PPE requirements. Ability to carry a laptop, sales materials, and other business equipment while traveling. Ability to maintain a flexible travel schedule based on customer and business needs.
