Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: IV start, telemetry, and intermediate care skills.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Med Surg level of care with a focus on musculoskeletal infections, ortho surgery, and ortho trauma. Many patients have implanted antibiotic spacers to hips, knees, or shoulders, or general wounds to extremities. Common Veriflo/wound vac treatment.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekday schedule. Every third weekend. No call.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
