Join a dynamic medical-surgical telemetry float pool as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Burlington, Vermont. This on-site travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to care for diverse patient populations across multiple like-skilled units in a Level I trauma and teaching-facility environment. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Burlington, Vermont
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Contract Length: Approximately 16 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: February 22, 2027
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Scheduling: Monday–Sunday scheduling with a minimum of every other weekend; no block schedules
• Float Pool: Floating is required, with travelers floating first based on unit and patient-care needs
• Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day
• Orientation: Biweekly Monday orientations
• Transportation: Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended because public transportation is not readily accessible

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Vermont
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical telemetry or a comparable acute-care setting
• Experience in a large Level I trauma and teaching-facility environment
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification completed before the start date
• EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years
• Ability to provide complete work history, including facility type, bed count, electronic medical record, and explanations for employment gaps longer than 90 days
• Flexibility to float across units and support areas outside the primary care pod

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and communicate clinical findings promptly
• Float among units such as hematology, oncology, orthopedics, medical telemetry, general surgery, neurology, neuro step-down, neurosurgery, ENT, and gynecology
• Support like-skilled areas, emergency department boarders, and surge assignments as patient-care needs change
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments, complete nursing assessments, and accurately document care in EPIC
• Adapt to changing assignments and scheduling needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality
• Participate in required weekend and holiday coverage
