Social Media Manager

Indie color cosmetics brand based in LA's Arts District: playful, bold and TikTok-native. Small team that moves fast, and growing. THE ROLE Hands-on Social Media Manager to own organic social strategy, shoot and post content independently. Your goal - grow our audience and build a real fan community around the brand. This is not a strategy-only or management-only role. You'll film, edit and publish without waiting on the creative team. You'll report to the Director of Marketing. WHAT YOU WILL DO Own organic strategy and the content calendar across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, tied to product launches and brand moments. Create constantly. Shoot, edit and publish short-form video and photo content at high frequency, mostly on your own. Protect the brand. Keep every post on-brand in look, voice and tone. Lead our Specialist (offshore contractor). Set daily priorities, posting schedules and engagement standards, and review work for quality. Build community. Set and own standards for comments and DMs. Flag and elevate PR or brand-safety risks quickly. Partner with creators on UGC, product seeding and collabs, with proper ad disclosures. Report weekly on reach, engagement, follower growth and attributable conversions, with a clear point of view on what to change next. Move on trends early. Spot what's rising and get content live quickly. WHAT YOU BRING - REQUIREMENTS CPG brand experience. In-house at a consumer packaged goods brand, or CPG accounts at an agency. 4+ years in social media, with hands-on content creation the whole way through. You film, edit and post independently. Strong in CapCut or similar; comfortable with a phone, ring light and basic audio. Deep TikTok and Instagram fluency: algorithms, formats, trends and platform features. You've managed or directed at least one person or contractor. Comfortable in native analytics (TikTok, Meta Business Suite) and turning data into decisions. Clear, upbeat writing for captions, replies and briefs. You’re experienced, comfortable and confident appearing on camera in brand content. A portfolio of content you personally shot, edited and posted. Able and excited to work in-person at our Arts District office four days a week. PAY & BENEFITS $75,000–$85,000 base salary depending on experience, exempt. The final offer depends on experience and portfolio. Medical, dental, vision, paid time off and paid holidays.
