Account Executive

Floorplan Xpress

About The Role Floorplan Xpress is seeking an Account Executive who is a proven B2B hunter. This role is focused on new business development, including cold calling, prospecting, and closing new accounts. This is not a retail or dealership sales role and is not account management. If you are energized by building a pipeline from scratch, getting in front of decision‑makers, and winning new business, you'll do well here. Location: Chicago, IL Type: Full-Time | Field‑Based Key Responsibilities Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, cold emails, in‑person visits, networking, and social outreach Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified B2B opportunities Identify, pursue, and close new independent dealer and business accounts Conduct discovery conversations and present tailored solutions Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new‑business sales targets Travel within your assigned territory to meet prospects and attend industry events Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting data in the CRM Coordinate a professional handoff of new accounts to internal teams after closing Required Qualifications Proven experience in B2B outside sales or business development Demonstrated success in hunter‑style sales (cold calling, outbound prospecting, pipeline creation) Comfortable with high‑volume outbound activity and rejection Strong communication skills (phone, in person, written) Self‑motivated and able to work independently in the field Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory Preferred Qualifications Experience selling financial services or solutions‑based products Experience selling to business owners or senior decision‑makers CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) This Role Is NOT Retail car sales Dealership floor or lot sales Relationship‑only account management Inside sales or call‑center sales Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission Mileage reimbursement and business expense support Health, dental, and vision insurance Short‑term and long‑term disability Company paid life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Company‑provided tools to support success Why Floorplan Xpress We partner with independent dealers nationwide and reward Account Executives who take ownership of their territory, consistently prospect, and deliver results.
