Atlantic Valve Services is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead safety, inventory control, and facility operations at our Swedesboro, NJ location. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment while supporting the day-to-day success of our machine shop and shipping operations.

Position Summary

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and successful operation of the Atlantic Valve Services shop. This role provides leadership for the QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health) program while managing all machine shop and shipping operations. The Facilities Supervisor is also accountable for the maintenance and reliability of the building, equipment, and supporting infrastructure.

As a critical member of the team, this individual plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, inventory accuracy, and the seamless day-to-day functioning of the AVS facility. The Facilities Supervisor serves as the primary site leader for safety compliance, inventory control, facility readiness, and support of day-to-day shop operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite QESH Responsibility

• Responsible for upholding site QESH requirements per Site Safety Manual, Emerson, and OSHA.
• Complete and document all required documentation, audits, and forms to maintain QESH and OSHA compliance.
• Participate in site and Emerson audits as scheduled.
• Lead routine facility safety inspections and identify opportunities for continuous safety improvement.
• Coordinate corrective actions resulting from safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance reviews.
• Responsible for incident investigations and reporting in conjunction with site management.
• Participate in the Proconex safety program and monthly safety meetings.

Supervising Machine Shop and Shipping Operations

• Provide oversight for machinists and shipping personnel.
• Coordinate with Management and Customer Service to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.
• Conduct employee evaluations and feedback sessions for direct reports.
• Coordinate with other departments on shop workflow.

Building and Equipment Maintenance

• Responsible for maintaining a schedule for all building maintenance as well as responding to equipment issues as they arise. Includes contracted services with management approval.
• Responsible for maintaining a schedule for all equipment maintenance and responding to equipment-related issues as they arise.
• Maintain shop supply levels and order supplies as needed while coordinating with multiple departments.
• Monitor inventory levels for shop supplies, maintenance materials, and operational consumables to support uninterrupted shop operations.
• Conduct routine inventory reviews and cycle counts to help ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience running a QESH program.
• 2-3 years of experience coordinating or supervising a shop environment.
• Experience as a facility and/or warehouse supervisor preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
