Milling Foreman – Lead Commercial and Roadway Milling Operations

Job Overview:

• Company: Cincinnati Asphalt
• Salary/Pay Rate: $32 to $38 per hour
• Location: Harrison, Ohio (Minimum Travel Required)
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Typical start time: 6:30am End Time: 6:30pm Long hours including weekends and evenings as needed
• Project Scope: Commercial, Roadway, Parking Lot, and Site Development
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a critical field leader, driving the successful execution of commercial and roadway asphalt milling projects. This role allows you to supervise field crews and manage daily operations for a company that values your hard work and dedication. You will have the opportunity to mentor crew members while ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate all daily activities of the asphalt milling crew.
• Set up milling equipment, signage, and traffic control measures according to safety specifications.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, grade stakes, and project work orders accurately.
• Monitor milling operations to ensure exact depth, slope, and surface preparation specifications are met.
• Manage the timely mobilization, maintenance, and cleaning of milling machines and support equipment.
• Communicate daily with project managers, paving foremen, and inspectors to align project needs.
• Maintain accurate daily records of labor, equipment usage, production quantities, and field progress.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating or supervising asphalt milling equipment.
• Proven leadership skills with a background that reflects work ethic and job stability.
• Absolute willingness to travel overnight up to 10-20% for projects outside the local area.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, in outdoor environments.
• Physical capability to constantly stand, move about worksites, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• 1–2 years of formal leadership or supervisory experience in highway or commercial paving.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills for handling unexpected field adjustments.
