Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med Surg/ER) – Kansas

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Western Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 36 hours per week

Highlights:

• Critical Access Hospital setting with combined Med Surg and Emergency Department responsibilities
• Flexible patient assignment based on census and acuity; nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:3, maximum 5:1
• Athena EMR system; supportive staffing model includes LPNs, CNAs, and unit secretaries
• 12-hour shifts with variety in case mix depending on patient flow
• Previous travel experience preferred but open to first-time travelers; may consider candidates with under 3 years of experience
• COVID-19 vaccine exemptions accepted; flu vaccine not required

Requirements:

• Active Kansas state RN license or multistate compact license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (all American Heart Association)
• Ability to work in a combined Med Surg/ER environment with varied patient populations
• Flexibility to float between departments based on facility needs
