Assistant Project Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the project management team with constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, and FF&E program development. Contribute to design, bid, and project phase scheduling; assist in the Addenda and Bid process. Under supervision of the Project Manager, conduct pre‑bid and job start meetings, monitor contract compliance, and report concerns. Facilitate job site meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and oversee approvals from applicable government agencies. Assist with close‑out activities, building occupancy, and field reporting for Project Manager review. Perform QA/QC processes, review change orders, RFIs/Submittals, and maintain As Built drawings. Provide basic CPM scheduling, budget management, and other duties as assigned including attendance during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required Effective written and oral communication skills with various stakeholders. Understanding of project documentation impact on project flow. Ability to read blueprints and multi‑task while prioritizing work efficiently. Sound judgement, logical decision‑making, and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑accountability, consistent communication, and collaboration with team members and clients. Proactive participation in self‑development and building new skills for career progression. Preferred Education and Experience BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field. 3+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management. Previous California K‑12 DSA or public works project experience required. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $84,900.00 – $113,233.35 per year (base salary only).
