Senior Java DeveloperLocation: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 Days/Week) Experience: 12+ YearsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in modern UI development, backend API development, PostgreSQL, AWS architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD practices.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building secure, scalable applications and leveraging AI tools to accelerate software development while maintaining quality, security, and governance.Mandatory SkillsReact & Next.jsPython & FastAPIPostgreSQLAWS Architecture, IAM & NetworkingTerraform & CI/CDAI-Assisted Development / AI ToolsKey ResponsibilitiesUI DevelopmentDevelop responsive and accessible user interfaces using React and Next.js.Build reusable and scalable front-end components.Ensure application performance, usability, and accessibility.Backend DevelopmentDevelop secure and scalable APIs using Python and FastAPI.Integrate backend services with AWS infrastructure and applications.Design and implement efficient service integrations.Database DevelopmentDesign and manage PostgreSQL databases.Perform data modeling and database performance optimization.Develop efficient queries and ensure data reliability.AWS InfrastructureDesign and implement solutions using AWS architecture.Work with IAM, networking, security, deployment, and monitoring.Ensure secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.Infrastructure as Code & CI/CDDevelop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.Establish repeatable and automated cloud deployment practices.AI-Accelerated DevelopmentLeverage AI tools such as Claude to accelerate UI development, code generation, testing, and documentation.Ensure AI-assisted development follows established security, quality, and governance standards.Required Qualifications12+ years of software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js.Strong experience with Python and FastAPI.Strong PostgreSQL development and database design experience.Hands-on experience with AWS architecture, IAM, networking, security, and deployment.Strong experience with Terraform and CI/CD.Experience leveraging AI tools for software development.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
