Job Opportunity: Full-Time Hospitalist

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to join our physician-led multispecialty group of over 650 providers in Nampa, Idaho. This position is part of a regional team comprising 32 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers based in Boise. The Nampa Hospitalist team, consisting of 11 professionals, oversees a high-acuity medical service at a community hospital with 106 beds, which is set to expand to 224 beds.

The Nampa facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network. The work schedule typically involves 152 shifts annually, structured as 7-on/7-off with 12-hour shifts.

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Manage a patient demographic that includes approximately 40% adults and 60% geriatric individuals.
• Provide care for conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and other general medical issues.
• Conduct around 18 patient encounters daily during rounding.

As a leading provider of advanced and innovative critical care services in the region, we emphasize a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a commitment to fostering a practice within our expanding multispecialty group. Additionally, Hospitalists will have the opportunity to teach residents.

Support and Collaboration

Our Hospitalists benefit from 24/7 support from Anesthesia, Radiology, and Intensivists, along with a wide range of subspecialists from both our organization and the broader medical community.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Hospitalist training is preferred.
• Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
• Eligibility to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Ability to obtain privileges at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
