The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist performs routine X‑ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician, as well as supports in other needed areas of the facility. This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of one‑on‑one patient care while thriving in a fast‑paced environment. The RT MSS ensures that every patient is treated with quality clinical care and receives an excellent patient experience from welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues. Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and manage patient positioning during X‑ray exams. Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting exposure settings per protocol. Ensure radiation safety by using protection devices and maintaining equipment functioning. Document procedures, follow EMR workflow, and report malfunctions to the Center Operations Director. Support medical assistant duties such as drug testing, vital sign collection, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and rapid screening tests. Assist providers during examination, triage emergent patients, and perform routine medical procedures per clinician orders. Maintain equipment calibration, QA/QC, supply inventory, and cleanliness of exam rooms. Perform front‑office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check‑in/out, handle multi‑line telephone system, communicate wait times, and distribute results. Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules, attend staff meetings, and complete all required training and documentation. Assist with patient flow, volume management, and maintain a neat and orderly facility. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology with state certification. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess an active, valid certification. CPR/First Aid Certification. At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology. Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements preferred; prior medical office or customer service experience. Strong customer service skills, problem‑solving ability, clear communication, confidentiality handling (HIPAA, PHI), teamwork, and commitment to ongoing training. Must complete initial and ongoing training; obtain required Medical Support Specialist certifications, including Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, Hair and Oral Fluids Collection; intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
