If you enjoy working outdoors, operating specialized equipment, and being part of a collaborative team, this role offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in land surveying.What You'll Do:Work as part of a two- to three-person survey crew assisting with a variety of land surveying activitiesAssist with boundary, topographic, construction staking, and other field surveysOperate and assist with survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectorsCarry supplies, hold equipment, drive stakes, and assist with clearing survey lines as neededRecord field measurements and assist in maintaining accurate survey documentationMaintain and transport survey equipment safely to and from job sitesCoordinate with the survey crew and project teams to complete assignments efficiently and accuratelyWhat You Bring:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience working in an outdoor environment preferredPrevious land surveying experience preferredExperience with Carlson SurvCE, robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS equipment a plusValid driver's license required (this position requires driving)Strong math skills and attention to detailWritten and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic and willingness to work overtime when requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform strenuous physical activity in a wide range of temperatures and outdoor work environmentsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to climb hills and walk long distances across varied terrainAbility to traverse wooded areas, construction sites, and undeveloped landAbility to lift and carry up to 75 poundsAbility to work in environments that may contain venomous snakes and insects such as ticks, red bugs, wasps, bees, hornets, and yellow jacketsWhy Thomas & Hutton?Competitive salary plus performance bonusCondensed work schedule for better work-life balanceTop-tier health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage401(k), generous PTO, holidays, and tuition assistanceThomas & Hutton University training programsSchedule: A regular schedule of Monday–Thursday 6:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., plus overtime as neededAt Thomas & Hutton, our mission of "Building Relationships and Solutions for Success" shapes how we serve our clients, strengthen our communities, and invest in our team.
