OVERVIEW OF THE SR. PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE:
- Process high volume payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- The Sr. Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy in deductions, earnings, and taxes.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and ensure compliance.
- The Sr. Payroll Specialist will collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage benefits deductions and reporting.
- Assist in payroll audits and prepare necessary reports.
- The Sr. Payroll Specialist will support process improvements and system upgrades for payroll efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SR. PAYROLL SPECIALIST:
- 4+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems. UKG (UltiPro) preferred.
- Understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for payroll reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
