Thisposition requires independent judgment and technical skills to produce the bestpossible radiography for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.ResponsibilityPerforming CT and X-Ray examinations. Produces radiographs using proper technicalfactors and evaluates each film for proper exposure and positioning, schedulesexams and properly instructs patients on preparations for exams and sets up andorganizes rooms for any radiographic procedures. AccountabilityThe Imaging/RadiologicTechnologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager. SpecialDemandsMental: Astute communication skillswith employees, physicians, visitors, patients/families and administration.Ability to adjust to job situations that involve many different people andprojects, requiring some independent action and judgment. Abilityto problem solve and deal with diverse personalities. Ability to work alone, make independentdecisions, and adapt to emergency situations. Maintain the confidentiality of patient information. Communicate bothorally and in writing with peers, professional staff, and patients. Must be sensitive to the needs of patientsand co-workers.
