Operations Specialist II-Opns (Hybrid)

Job Summary: This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Engineering - Operations and is a key member of the Corporate Engineering team responsible for collaborating with various departments and service centers to develop, document and maintain process documentation. Develop and maintain formal documentation for operational processes by collaborating with various departments and Service Centers. Identify inefficiencies and areas of rework or waste to recommend and implement process improvements to support cost control. Ensure processes have consistent practices for proper alignment between operations and other departments. Provide standardized materials to improve the onboarding process for new employees and improved guidance for existing employees. Contribute to improved data integrity through better planning and execution practices Maintain a central repository for operational processes to be stored and accessed by users across the company. Regular attendance is required. Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Bachelor Degree preferred 3 years of experience and knowledge of service center operations required Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry required Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation communication skills required Strong attention to detail, customer focus and quality orientation required Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills required. Willingness to travel 50% and work any shift including nights and/or weekends and in any weather condition required Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and understand implications in operations’ business processes highly preferred Skilled in presenting/facilitating a wide variety of training to diverse audiences. Able to motivate, communicate and instruct/train others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes highly preferred Experience project management experience highly preferred Strong technical proficiency to include Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of AS400 highly preferred Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct Must be able to interact well with others Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check Must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
