Job Type: Full-time In-Office: This is a 100% in-office role based at our Rochester, NY location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours. Position Overview This role serves within the Retirement Services operations team, responsible for managing complex recordkeeping tasks and acting as a liaison with external partners such as trustees, custodians, and recordkeeping vendors. The analyst ensures operational accuracy and compliance across all plan activities. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for complex retirement plan operation processes. Manage complex retirement plan recordkeeping operations including transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting. Serve as a liaison with external partners including recordkeepers, custodians, and trustees. Ensure operational compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations. Support escalations from internal teams and external partners related to operational issues. Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the development and refinement of operational procedures and documentation. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 3 years of experience in retirement plan operations or financial services. Strong understanding of defined contribution plan structures, record keeping, and ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan operational compliance requirements. Experience working with external financial institutions and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on the ability to translate complex issues into clear updates for internal and external stakeholders. Advanced critical thinking skills to evaluate unusual or complex issues and determine the best solutions. Ability to manage multiple escalations concurrently, prioritizing tasks based on risk, impact, and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams when needed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7‑8 hours a day. Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously. The pay range for this position is $56,000 - $80,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
