As an integral member of our Earth & Environment Team, you will actively participate in a variety of projects that support a growing organization focused on achieving client objectives and addressing their challenges. You will join a team of professionals dedicated to providing environmental consulting services.
- Assist in developing processes and infrastructure related to water supply, wastewater treatment, hazardous or solid waste disposal, air emission sources, and pollution control.
- Work to preserve environmental quality of air, water, and land resources.
- Generate accurate and concise reports and documentation detailing field conditions.
- Assess and provide guidance regarding short- and long-term risks to ecological and human health.
- Ensure that responsibilities are executed and maintained at a quality level that meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Experience in environmental, health and safety compliance.
- Support business development activities as part of your role within the team.
As a member of our Earth & Environment Team, you will collaborate closely with team members to provide strategic direction and support for existing client relationships. In the capacity of Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing current and future projects, engaging with clients daily to establish and guide the strategic direction for project execution.
You will independently manage and execute projects to ensure compliance with established schedules. This role involves performing moderately complex technical tasks within broad work scopes, as well as planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating project work for large-scale assignments.
Your responsibilities include preparing technical proposals and reports, either in whole or in part, based on the size and complexity of each document. You will demonstrate competency across several areas, including engineering, field supervision, technical expertise, and task management. Additionally, you will motivate, train, and mentor junior staff assigned to your tasks or projects.
The position comprises approximately 80% office work and 20% field work, covering a variety of projects such as industrial, commercial, and State and Federal sites. You will be responsible for preparing technical reports and related documents and assisting with business development. Further duties include preparing components of investigation and engineering reports, such as work summaries, data summaries, engineering calculations, summary tables, figures, engineering drawings and specifications, and report text. You will also conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations as required.
As the primary point of contact for subcontractors, you will direct junior level staff overseeing field activities, organize field work, assign tasks, and provide guidance to staff specialists in field task management. Your role also involves assisting in subcontractor procurement and overseeing field activities such as drilling (including DPT/Geoprobe, HSA, and Sonic), soil excavation, demolitions, and remediation system installations.
You will review contractor submittals, which include equipment documentation, Work Plans, and QA/QC plans, and will be responsible for tracking payment applications, requests for information, change order requests, and general construction phase submittals. The role requires travel to project sites as needed, which may include overnight travel.
